No. 51’s location ensures easy access to the train service and other public transport and is ideally located for accessing several schools and colleges.

No. 51 has been uniquely designed for a single unit family. We are inclusive in our vision and want to be able to reach those who are at times ruled out by other services and provisions. We believe that the model of having one family unit in each home provides each family with the optimum chance of success. The family unit can consist of mixed, same sex and/or transgender parents with a maximum of 3 children up to the age of 17.
The family have access to all areas of the home except the staff office. The staff room is locked at all times due to confidential information.

The home has numerous toys and activities for children of all ages, and it has many activities for parents as well. There is plenty of space for parents and children to bring some of their own belongings to make the home their own for the duration of their stay.

The parent’s bedroom has a lockable cabinet for their personal use, which may include safe storage of medication and personal documents, where agreed.

Direct and indirect CCTV, audio and staff monitoring, and observation takes place up to 24 hours per day within the setting to ensure both safety and high quality information for assessment purposes and intervention.

We have a rolling programme of redecoration, refurbishment and industrial cleansing to ensure that the home is maintained to a high level.
