Our team gives parents the best possible chance of success through tailored intervention and assessment for each families' needs.
Purple Elephant in the Room was formed in 2013 to better support families who were falling through the cracks of standard intervention services.
We provide residential services, outreach family support services, social work assessments and therapeutic services for local authorities, courts of law, solicitors and private clients.

Our aim is, wherever possible, to keep families together by providing an alternative, tailored approach to intervention and assessment.

Our team of experts have a wealth of experience of supporting families with the aim of helping parents improve their parenting capacity whilst ensuring that the child’s best interests remain paramount.
No.51
A new type of residential family centre
Our residential home only supports one family at a time. This means they are the sole focus of the team at No.51. The home is adapted to the needs of each family which better supports parents who have additional needs, and/or benefit from a more family orientated placement.

No.51 uses an individualised therapeutic approach to meet any unaddressed needs. Unlike many traditional residential centres we accept older children and sibling groups helping us to keep families together.
